What is better than pyrolysis or burning?

There is a misconception that in Russia there is pyrolysis. If we consider more carefully each company that uses pyrolysis plants, we will see that their productivity is low, as well as the quality of the end product, but the energy cost is high, which makes pyrolysis unprofitable or inefficient. Many manufacturers "beat themselves in the chest," arguing that "this know-how" solves all the problems with garbage in one fell swoop. However, what we have in fact. In the end, he realized that the Russian miracle-masters, they are also grief-producers, simply can not give the market a finished product, that is, a proven solution, pyrolysis plants do not work with the effectiveness that the manufacturer claims when selling it. Let's return still to the question: Which is better, pyrolysis or installation for combustion? If you still consider burning or pyrolysis, then all of course you need to consider, first important economy and secondarily you need to understand what the end result you want to get. For example, it is possible to get a second product after pyrolysis, similar to its physical and chemical composition for fuel oil, but it is not known how much it will take to bring it to a quality product that will have market demand and a corresponding market price. Perhaps this mass will have to be further purified, podgatavlivat to use as a fuel. With the help of pyrolysis, it is possible to process such wastes as tires, waste oils, plastics and sediment. If, however, your waste of solid waste and the final result is a decrease in the volumes of solid household waste, then today burning is an effective solution. The ash produced in this process has a high density, which significantly reduces the amount of garbage that is subject to further storage, as regards the costs of utilization by combustion, then, in particular, on caloric waste, costs for the cost of combustion are almost nonexistent. There is an opinion that burning does not allow full disintegration of dioxins. This opinion is wrong and exists only as a marketing move. Dioxins and furans decompose at a temperature of 1300 degrees Celsius, for this purpose an incineration chamber for off-gases is provided in the incinerator. However, it is important to understand that if there is a high content of chloride compounds in the material, then it is necessary to use gas cleaning equipment, so-called gas scrubbing, which will not only reduce emissions but also neutralize them to obtain emissions in the norm of MPC after the incinerator. Most often this is a scrubber and bag filters.


Another way of recycling waste is processing into recycled raw materials with preliminary chemical, wave or thermal neutralization.


 However, going back to the developers of pyrolysis plants, allegedly having "on the hands of scientifically-based" developments are much inferior to the technological progress of the same Chinese, which already raises doubts about the usefulness of this method proposed by domestic manufacturers.
